WA RNO and WAARNet
WAARNet (formerly PARNet) is the electronic
communications network established to connect the WA
based Universities, CSRIO and IVEC for inter-institution
communication and shared connection to AARNet for national
and international Internet communication. WAARNet is
managed by the West Australian Regional Network
Organisation (WA RNO). Information on AARNet and the technical
details of the WAARNet network can be found on other
sites. The WA RNO Policy Committee meets periodically
throughout the year to consider matters of policy. Day to
day operation is managed by a Technical Committee, which
meets on an ad hoc basis.
